This is the FIRE KIT DELUXE designed and developed by Deborah Edwards.
The tin measures 4 3/4″ by 2 1/4″, slightly larger than our regular FIRE KIT.
This contains a ferro rod, a metal striker, a Bic lighter, fresnel lens, a piece of rubber (for emergency tinder), mugwort (the ideal natural tinder), Purell (yes, also a tinder), and some burn gel in case you burn your finger — please be careful. This kit also includes a little pencil sharpener made of magnesium. This clever addition allows you to take twigs and create tinder for getting your fire burning!
This is great for your pack, purse, pocket, car, bicycle — have one handy in case you need it. And you never know when the need might arise.
