Description
We assemble a primitive kit so you can practice fire-making the Old Way. You receive bow, drill, hearth, socket, and instructions.

The bow can be various woods, but usually ash or alder in our kits. The hearth is nearly always willow, and the drill will be willow or mulefat.

Everyone should learn how to go into the woods and make a fire using this method. Though we send you instructions, the full details for this method can be found in Larry Dean Olsen’s Outdoor Survival Skills book, or Christopher’s How to Survive Anywhere. In the meantime, you can practice with our kit until you achieve mastery.
