LET’S GO ANIMAL TRACKING
ANIMAL TRACKING
Whether you’re new to animal tracking or already have some experience, this class will provide you with ample knowledge and a solid foundational skillset on the art and science of tracking. The outing covers actual field observation and practice in Clear Print Identification, Wildlife Sign and Interpretation (including track aging), Gaits and Patterns, and concepts in Behavior and Sign on the Landscape.
The outing location offers great possibility especially of finding track and sign of a wide scope of animals such as mountain lion, coyote, fox, deer, raccoon, skunk, rabbit, squirrel, turtle, frog, owl, hawk, and many others! The experience is guaranteed to have you looking at the ground and landscape in a completely different way.
Rob is one of the best trackers we’ve ever met — and time spent with Rob is time well spent on your tracker education.
Note: We’ll take an easy-rated slow-going walk, 1.0 mile, mostly on-trail yet a bit off trail exploration in a dry streambed.
